I took the two photos below circa 1990.
The subject matter is a hand carving on a beech tree. From the photos you can see that the carvings were done in 1911.
The person depicted is David Leahy who lived at No. 1 Rock Lane Kenmare………who I knew.
There were two Leahy brothers, both of them passed away around 1975….I think. Tony O'Shea Does anybody know what it looks like today ? I must check. ( webmaster ) |
