At Molly Gallivan's you will experience the simple country lifestyle in rural Ireland before the days of electricity and modern conveniences. Your visit begins with a unique Audio-visual presentation. depicting the life and times of Molly Gallivan while giving a general history of the surrounding area. Next you will visit Molly’s enchanting cottage which is over 200 years old. Then we invite you to take a stroll down memory lane a 500 metre walk through Molly’s traditional farm where you will witness in real life the farming methods and traditions of the not too distant past. Her farm is complete with animals, fowl and traditional farm machinery.

You will also see the ghostly ruins of a family dwelling from the era of the Great Famine and a Neolithic stone row that is part of a very rare ancient sun calendar. After your outdoor experience you can relax in our old style Tea rooms as you enjoy some home baking. Later you can browse in our Craft shop for locally produced items.

Pre booked evening entertainment throughout the season includes our American Wake presentation. This is a night of Irish food, music, song and dance which recreates the old custom that took place in Irish homes the night before a family member emigrated to a foreign land usually America, forced to leave their native shore by economical or political circumstances.
